About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join an Outpatient Infusion Unit for a 13-week contract in Utica, New York. This role focuses on delivering high-quality infusion therapy, chemotherapy administration, blood product transfusions, and patient-centered care for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient infusion nursing experience required.
- Prior travel nursing experience required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and Chemotherapy certifications required.
- Experience with Epic EMR and the ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient infusion environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer infusion therapies, chemotherapy, and blood products according to established clinical protocols.
- Assess, monitor, and educate adult and geriatric patients throughout infusion treatments.
- Operate infusion equipment and ensure safe medication administration using established nursing practices.
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Float as needed to support patient care while maintaining quality and safety standards.
