About The Position

The Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who provides specialized nursing care to patients receiving infusion therapies. This role is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care throughout the infusion process. The RN utilizes clinical expertise, evidence-based practice, advanced technology, and therapeutic interventions to safely administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and promote optimal outcomes. Working collaboratively with providers and interdisciplinary team members, the Infusion Therapy RN delivers compassionate, patient-centered care while ensuring quality, safety, and excellence in every patient interaction.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
  • RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in infusion therapy, oncology, outpatient infusion, ambulatory care, or vascular access.
  • Experience administering IV medications, biologic therapies, blood products, and specialty infusions.
  • Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification (ONS) or willingness to obtain, if applicable to the department.
  • Experience with central line management and vascular access devices.
