About The Position

This position will be in the Infusion Department and will be PRN / Per-Diem. This position is 8-hour shifts, 7:45am - 4:15pm with variable days of the week, mostly Wednesday and/or Thursdays. The role promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members. Works in the Infusion Center where infusion, IV, injection and other care and attention is required. Provides individualized, quality care for the patients of the Infusion Center.

Requirements

  • Illinois RN License in good standing
  • Minimum – Associate Degree Nurse
  • Earn Certificate in Chemotherapy in the first 6 months or less
  • Annual education, skills and competencies required by MH
  • BLS
  • ACLS & PALS or ENPC (within 1 year)
  • On the job training to ER and/or ICU to fill hours when Infusion is slow
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience

Responsibilities

  • Is able to recognize, initiate, and understand proper management of emergency conditions requiring standardized protocols
