About The Position

South of Broad Healthcare (SOBH) is expanding access to high-quality, community-based healthcare throughout southern Beaufort County and the surrounding Lowcountry. Grounded by a mission of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care, SOBH supports strategic growth designed to bring essential healthcare services closer to the people and communities we serve. At the center of SOBH is Bluffton Community Hospital, a new 28 bed, full-service hospital. Approximately 90,000 square foot facility will include a 24/7 emergency department, an acute inpatient nursing unit, surgical and endoscopy suites, a cardiac catheterization lab, advanced imaging, laboratory services, and additional outpatient capabilities. The hospital is scheduled for completion in late 2026, with patient care anticipated to being early 2027. Bluffton Community Hospital represents more than the construction of a new facility – it reflects a long-term investment in the health, economic vitality, and future of one of South Carolina’s fasts growing communities. The hospital will create new employment and leadership opportunities, strengthen the recruitment of physicians and clinical professionals, and allow residents south of the Broad River to receive comprehensive care closer to home. The primary focus of the infusion center registered nurse is to manage the direct patient care for all infusion outpatients actively undergoing treatment. The RN will assume responsibility and accountability for the delivery of all patient care, to include but not limited to education, administration of chemotherapy, blood product transfusions and other supportive care infusions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an ADN from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Two years work experience.
  • Current South Carolina RN license.
  • BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift (must be issued by the American Heart Association).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in infusion nursing and/or oncology preferred.
  • Nurses without oncology experience must complete ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy course and ONS Basic Cancer Course within 90 days of employment.
  • OCN certification preferred.
