About The Position

This role involves administering the organization's Infection Control Plan, preparing the Infection Control Surveillance Summary, and developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. The specialist will perform infection surveillance and investigation, including planning, design, data collection, interpretation, and reporting. They will also report infection surveillance, prevention, and control information to public health authorities as required by law, and provide consultation, education, and training on infection control and prevention issues.

Requirements

Certification specializing in Infection Control obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities
