Registered Nurse III - Cancer Center Infusion Clinic - 12 Hour Days
About The Position

A CN III possesses in-depth knowledge in all aspects of nursing care for a specific unit patient population and consistently applies specialized knowledge and skills in managing nursing care for individual or groups of patients and their families. A CN III serves as an experienced mentor on the unit, aiming to develop staff to their full potential. They work with their mentor to identify resources and people that will enhance personal growth and development. A CNIII must select and demonstrate achievement of one of the three clinical advancement pathways (Clinical Quality, Education, Leadership) each year and consistently maintain specialty nursing certification approved by ANCC. The scope of responsibility, duties, and accountability at the facility, department, and position levels includes knowledge and practice of the clinical/technical skills necessary for the position, consistent with the Nurse Practice Act. Nursing job duties must meet the Nurse Practice Act (state law that protects patients by promoting safe, competent nursing practices), Title 22 (Health and Safety codes), The Joint Commission (develops performance standards and accredits programs for hospitals and other healthcare-related organizations), and the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care and the Plan for Provision of Care to Patients, and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse III (CN III) designation.
- In-depth knowledge in all aspects of nursing care for a specific unit patient population.
- Specialized knowledge and skills in the management of nursing care for individual or groups of patients and their families.
- Experience as a mentor on a nursing unit.
- Demonstrated achievement in one of the three clinical advancement pathways (Clinical Quality, Education, Leadership) annually.
- Specialty nursing certification approved by ANCC.
- Knowledge and practice of clinical/technical skills necessary for the position consistent with the Nurse Practice Act.
- Adherence to Title 22 (Health and Safety codes).
- Adherence to The Joint Commission standards.
- Adherence to the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care and the Plan for Provision of Care to Patients, and other regulatory requirements.
