About The Position

The Registered Nurse II position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for individuals with serious mental illness in both acute and chronic phases. This role requires critical thinking skills to manage multiple priorities, formulate broad-based nursing actions, and implement individualized treatment interventions in complex care situations. The position also requires knowledge and skill in group leadership and dynamics, the ability to supervise and provide feedback to others, delegate effectively, and collaborate with an Interdisciplinary Treatment Team. A strong understanding of pharmacology, psychiatric and physical conditions, biopsychosocial needs of patients, and the principles of psychiatric nursing is essential.

Requirements

  • Active RN license to practice in Virginia or Multistate license.
