About The Position

The Vermont Veterans' Home (VVH) is currently seeking to fill a part-time Registered Nurse II position on the evening shift. Registered Nurses (RNs) at VVH develop and manage nursing care plans, as well as instruct patients and their families in proper treatment for the highest level of function/quality of life. We provide person-centered care and all residents/families are encouraged to be active participants. We provide clinical oversight along with a wide range of services for long-term and short-stay admissions. The hours are 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, 32 hours per week and includes working weekends & holidays. Evening and weekend shift differentials will be added for qualifying shifts, and the position is eligible for benefits. The starting pay rate may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Requirements

  • Possession of, or eligible for, licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont OR eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi-state license AND two (2) years or more of professional nursing experience.
  • Possession of, or eligible for, licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont OR eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi-state license AND one (1) year or more of experience as a Registered Nurse I with the State of Vermont.
  • Must pass a fingerprint supported background investigation.
  • Must pass Vermont and/or national criminal record checks.
  • Must pass Office of Inspector General exclusion database checks.
  • Must pass motor vehicle driving record checks.
  • Must pass adult and child abuse registry checks.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
