About The Position

Registered Nurse II– Telemetry Department at Texas Health Kaufman. This is a full-time position working 36 hours a week on nights. The Telemetry Department is a 23-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit that offers self-scheduling, opportunities for educational and career growth, a robust Unit Based Council (UBC), and an engaged leadership team. Texas Health Kaufman has served the communities of Kaufman, Crandall, Forney, Gun Barrel City, Mabank, Terrell, and nearby areas since 1975. As an 81-bed, full-service hospital, it provides acute care to patients throughout Kaufman County and surrounding regions, offering a wide range of services including orthopedic and general surgery, diagnostic imaging, outpatient physical therapy, respiratory care, nuclear medicine, and emergency services. The hospital is Joint Commission-certified and recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Pathway to Excellence hospital.

Requirements

  • 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program is required
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire is required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 days is required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days is required
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days is required
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days is required OR ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course 6 Months is required
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course 12 months is required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Critical Care RN Certification a plus, but not required.
