The Registered Nurse II (RN II) serves as a Poison Control Center Specialist, providing clinical assessment, triage, consultation, and education related to toxic exposures, poisonings, medications, biologics, chemicals, hazardous materials, environmental toxins, and other potentially harmful substances. This role supports a 24/7 medical toxicology, public health, and drug information service for healthcare providers, patients, and the community. The RN II assesses the severity of poison exposures, provides evidence-based treatment recommendations, documents all encounters according to established protocols, and supports poison prevention and public health initiatives. This position combines clinical expertise, critical thinking, customer service, and education to ensure safe and effective patient care.
