Registered Nurse/RN – Operating Room Circulator Full Time Days
About The Position
Texas Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse II to serve as an Operating Room Circulator at Texas Health Hospital Rockwall. This day-shift position is scheduled for 36 hours weekly and includes weekend and on-call requirements. The nurse provides patient-centered care in the operating room, responding to patients’ physical, psychological, social, and safety needs; respecting each person’s worth and individual perspective; involving families and caregivers; and supporting shared problem-solving. The role also includes creating a healing environment that promotes privacy, safety, confidentiality, and tranquility. The successful candidate must attend training at the corporate office in Arlington from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the first 1–5 days of hire. The surgery department offers state-of-the-art sterilization equipment and technology and a collaborative environment that values precision and efficiency.
Requirements
- Nursing diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing required.
- At least 1 year of registered nurse experience or completion of an RN residency program required.
- Texas Registered Nurse license required upon hire.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required upon hire, before providing independent patient care, and maintained quarterly.
- High degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- At least 1 year of operating room experience strongly preferred.
