About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) II - Surgery Department at Texas Health Southlake. This is a full-time position with 36 hours per week, working days, consisting of three 12-hour shifts. The Surgery Department is a surgical specialty hospital with six operating rooms, handling specialties such as ortho, ortho spine, general, GYN, plastics, ENT, podiatry, and Xi robot cases. The department offers a great work environment, positive culture, teamwork, and utilizes new and advanced equipment and technology.

Requirements

  • 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program is required
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire is required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 days is required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days is required
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days is required
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days is required
  • ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course 6 Months is required
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course 12 months is required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Nursing Diploma Nursing Req Or Associate's Degree Nursing Req Or Bachelor's Degree Nursing is preferred
  • 1 year of Operating Room Experience is strongly preferred.
