About The Position

The Registered Nurse II in the Emergency Department provides independent care to a unit-specific patient population. This role serves as a clinical resource for others, utilizes and integrates evidence into practice, and functions effectively in roles specific to the unit, such as triage for the ED. The nurse will serve as an effective primary coordinating nurse, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care addressing patient and family needs. Additionally, the role involves assisting in team development and evaluation of the Relationship-Based Care model, suggesting methods for improvement, and participating in data collection related to Relationship-Based Care outcomes and Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators (NSQI).

Requirements

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required.
  • One year nursing experience.
  • BLS.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education every two years.

  • Up-to-date status on all mandatory training and classes.
  • Solid knowledge and clinical skills.
