About The Position
Cedars-Sinai Cancer’s Patient and Family Support Program (PFSP) is committed to supporting patients and their families as they confront the challenges of cancer. Our team of dedicated experts provides compassionate, personalized care for people affected by cancer and those close to them. We provide resources to help patients prevent and relieve physical, psychological, social and spiritual suffering; plan their future; achieve life goals and navigate any care changes.
Requirements
- Must possess a current California Registered Nurse license.
- Must have at least one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Must have current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Stroke Association.
- Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Oncology, Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Supportive Care Medicine, Cancer Rehabilitation, Social Work, or Clinical Nutrition is preferred.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and patient portal systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Cross-trained to cover multiple providers and serve as a resource for specialties within the program including Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Supportive Care Medicine, Cancer Rehabilitation, Social Work and Clinical Nutrition.
- Manage patient portal messages and calls for triage of symptoms and prescription refills.
- Conduct meticulous chart notes for all communication with patients, pharmacies, insurance companies, and etc.
