About The Position

As our Registered Nurse II Neighborhood/Unit Manager, you'll be the captain of our care crew, steering the ship of established policies and programs. You'll orchestrate the symphony of nursing care, conduct the chorus of scheduling and personnel management, and ensure our PPS and MDS compliance hits all the right notes. Your superpower? Coordinating care based on each resident's unique needs and preferences. You'll also be our talent scout, helping select and mentor our amazing C.N.A.s, L.P.N.s, and R.N.s. Get ready to be the coach, cheerleader, and MVP all rolled into one! This role involves monitoring residents' needs, intervening timely, and communicating updates. It includes conducting pre-admission assessments, evaluating and implementing new technology, and providing guidance during clinical emergencies and resident status changes. The manager will perform compliance checks, orchestrate care plans and patient care conferences, ensure MDS compliance, and manage admission documents. They will recognize signs and symptoms to determine appropriate treatment, communicate with various stakeholders, be on call when needed, and collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop frontline staff. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • A licensed Registered Nurse in the State of practice.
  • At least 2 years of adventure in a Skilled Nursing Community.
  • 1-2 years of experience supervising and managing direct reports.
  • Knowledge of Health Department regulations, including annual Federal and State Health Department surveys, PPS, MDS, and OBRA requirements.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, Windows, and other software programs relevant to the job.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • The ability to make everyone feel like a VIP, even on Mondays (customer service sparkle).
  • Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally/20 pounds frequently.
  • Master of the sit-stand-bend combo.
  • Impervious to interruptions (focus).
  • A natural at mingling with donors, families, volunteers, residents, and staff (social skills).
  • Frequent interactions with stakeholders, applicants, hiring managers, developers, consultants, and brokers (teamwork).
