About The Position
The Registered Nurse II (RN II) in Interventional Radiology (IR) at Texas Health Arlington is a full-time position focused on delivering patient care in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment. This role involves close partnership with physicians and offers broad procedural exposure across Hybrid/OR, CT, and Ultrasound. Requirements
- RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days required
- NIHSS- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 30 days required
- CPI- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required
Nice To Haves
- 2 years IR experience strongly preferred
- 2 years ICU/ED strongly preferred if without IR experience
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
Responsibilities
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, while expediting out of hospital transfers
