About The Position

The Registered Nurse II (RN II) in Interventional Radiology (IR) at Texas Health Arlington is a full-time position focused on delivering patient care in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment. This role involves close partnership with physicians and offers broad procedural exposure across Hybrid/OR, CT, and Ultrasound. The department is recognized for its strong IR foundation, growing vascular services, and commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days required
  • NIHSS- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 30 days required
  • CPI- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years IR experience strongly preferred
  • 2 years ICU/ED strongly preferred if without IR experience
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, while expediting out of hospital transfers
