About The Position

Meduflex is MUSC Charleston’s inpatient Float Pool, supporting a wide range of patient care units across the downtown campus. Spanning 10 specialized zones and serving both Adult and Pediatric populations, the team offers Registered Nurses (RNs) flexible scheduling and additional float differential pay. In this specialized zone, you’ll have the unique opportunity to float across a variety of psychiatric and behavioral health units—including the Senior Care Unit, General Adult and Adolescent Psychiatric Units, Addictions Unit, Acute Care Unit, Adult/Youth EmPATH, and the Psychiatric ER at the Institute of Psychiatry Hospital. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a minimum of one year of behavioral health work experience as a registered nurse is required.
  • RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to initiate education for BSN within 2 years and complete within four years of hire date.
  • Employees are required to sign an agreement regarding the education requirement.
  • Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
