About The Position

A Career Float RN II (CF II) is a competent clinician who provides nursing care in a skilled and effective manner. Utilizing appropriate decision-making skills, they exhibit competence in the technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to independently and safely manage routine patient assignments. The Career Float II establishes a plan of care, sets goals, determines priorities, and provides care within established standards of practice. The scope of responsibility, duties, and accountability at the facility, department, and position levels, including knowledge and practice of the clinical/technical skills necessary to the position, are consistent with the Nurse Practice Act. Nursing job duties are to meet the Nurse Practice Act (state law that protects patients by promoting safe, competent nursing practices), Title 22 (Health and Safety codes), The Joint Commission (develops performance standards and accredits programs for hospitals and other healthcare-related organizations), and the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care and the Plan for Provision of Care to Patients, and other regulatory requirements. The Career Float RN is expected to float within their competencies where they are needed in the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 months acute care experience in their specialty.
