About The Position
Join our highly engaged 32 bed ICU team. As a critical-care nurse working at Scripps Health Mercy San Diego, you’ll join a team of skilled medical professionals who provide superior health services in a caring environment. The Scripps Health team is dedicated to making a positive, measurable difference in the health of individuals in the communities we serve. Our critical-care nurses gain exposure to high acuity cases in: Medical, Surgical, Medical-cardiac, Cardiothoracic-surgical, Respiratory, Neuro-trauma, Trauma. We encourage you to join our ICU team of Registered Nurses (RN) at Scripps Mercy San Diego, where the RN will provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
Requirements
- Registered Nursing Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing
- At least one year Adult ICU RN experience
- Current CA State RN license
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate positive behaviors
- Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of ICU RN experience in a Level I Trauma Hospital
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Responsibilities
- Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
- The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision.
- Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
