About The Position
Registered Nurse in the ICU responsible for the assessment and care of complex ICU patients, including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases. The nurse will provide specialized care, implement patient treatment plans, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity setting.
Requirements
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required.
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, excluding travel experience.
- Epic charting system experience.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license through the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
- Comfortable working a 48-hour week contract.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to ICU patients with varied diagnoses such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, and post-surgical conditions.
- Administer IV medications, including vasopressors and sedatives, and manage hemodynamic lines and ventilators.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
