About The Position

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. This role involves implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating with various disciplines for patient care, and ensuring patient safety. The nurse will assess and coordinate discharge planning needs, administer medications, provide patient/family education, and document care in the healthcare record. Evaluation of patient status and care effectiveness is continuous, with modifications to the care plan as needed. Care coordination includes managing and correcting the sequence, timing, and effectiveness of patient care from admission to discharge.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
Continuing education requirements as defined within the CARE program.
One (1) year as an RN.
Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days.
Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association and others as required by individual department as noted in Attachment A.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or others as required by individual department.
