About The Position

We are hiring a Registered Nurse for the Neuro ICU at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. This is a full-time, nights position. The role involves delivering essential, high-quality, compassionate nursing care, driving patient outcomes by managing and adjusting care plans, serving as a care coordinator and communicator among the multidisciplinary team, performing critical assessments and actions, and planning for successful patient transitions and discharge.

Requirements

Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

Deliver Essential, High-Quality, Compassionate Nursing Care in alignment with established professional standards and protocols.
Implement, rigorously monitor, and actively adjust individualized patient care plans to achieve the best possible results.
Function as the primary leader and central hub, bridging communication and ensuring seamless collaboration across physicians, specialists, and all multidisciplinary team members for holistic patient care.
Utilize expert clinical observation skills to monitor, document, and communicate a patient’s condition, and execute physician and nursing orders precisely as part of a comprehensive care strategy.
Proactively assess needs and coordinate discharge planning with the patient, their family, and the broader healthcare team to ensure a successful recovery and continuity of care.
