About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit will care for complex ICU patients, including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases. This role requires strong critical thinking and assessment skills, comfort in a fast-paced environment, and experience in managing ventilator, hemodynamic lines, and administering IV medications.
Requirements
- 2 years of ICU experience (excluding travel experience preferred)
- At least one prior travel assignment
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
- Comfortable working a 48-hour/week contract
- Must live 100 miles away from any Monument Health facility
- Experience with Epic charting system
- Experience with hemodynamic lines
- Experience with proning
- Strong teamwork skills
- Experience with telemetry required
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to critically ill patients with varying diagnoses such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post-cardiac procedures, and trauma.
- Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform assessments and interventions as required.
