About The Position

UW Medical Center-Northwest - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has an outstanding opportunity for a Per Diem Registered Nurse. We are a general medical ICU offering cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and post-surgical monitoring. We offer 15 individual rooms for patients and consistently hold 1:2 nurse to patient ratios. Our RNs work in close partnership with our intensivists, physicians, and certified nursing assistants. This position provides life-saving care to patients and joins a close-knit ICU that values camaraderie and collaboration.

Requirements

• 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for critically ill patients, including those admitted for septic shock, post-cardiac arrest, acute respiratory failure, and strokes
• Monitor and administer medications and IVs
• Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect
• Work alongside physicians, intensivists, social workers, and care managers
• Follow evidence-based nursing practices

Benefits

• BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour
• Certification premium - $1.25/hour
• Night premium - $5.00/hour
• Weekend premium - $4.00/hour
• Sunday night premium - $3.00/hour
