About The Position

Our Intensive Care Unit is looking for compassionate, critical-thinking nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to make a meaningful impact during some of the most vulnerable moments. In the ICU you will care for complex, high-acuity patients while working closely with intensivists, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, case mangements and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Nurses in our ICU develop strong assessment skills, gain experience with advanced therapies and technology, and are supported through teamwork, education, and hands-on learning. POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
  • Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.
