ABOUT OUR UNIT: The multi-specialty aspect of this ICU is especially interesting for experienced ICU nurses who wish to pursue their career in critical care while developing new competencies and enriching their practice. POSITION SUMMARY: As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our 38-bed (28+10) multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. Supported by a collaborative and dedicated nursing team, you will have the opportunity to provide the highest quality care to your patients, ensuring they receive the attention and expertise they deserve.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • 2 years of RN experience required in a med/surg setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required
  • Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred)
  • Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
  • Basic computer proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • ICU experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver nursing care in the ICU unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
  • Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
  • Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
  • Update and manage patient records
  • Enter and interpret computerized data/information
  • Follow guidelines and policies established by our nursing department
  • Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
