About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join their ICU Department at the Avita Galion Hospital. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient nursing care, ensuring continuity of care between shifts by providing direct care and supervising nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff. The RN will also participate in patient and family teaching and act as a patient advocate, aligning with the organization's mission.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) or more years of previous nursing experience.
- Previous Intensive Care Unit experience.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit.
- Ensures continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care.
- Supervises the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs and supportive staff members.
- Participates in patient and family teaching.
- Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization’s mission.
