About The Position

This role involves providing care for critically ill patients in a 226-bed non-profit community hospital with 11 ICU beds. The nurse will be responsible for managing a variety of patient types including CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, and more. Experience with specific equipment and procedures such as chest tubes, wound vacs, and monitoring femoral arterial sheaths is required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required.
• Completion of at least 1 travel assignment.
• Certifications required: ACLS and BLS.
• Experience with EMR system EPIC.
• Every other weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, DM, and more.
• Administer blood products and monitor post-cath patients.
• Manage drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, and heparin.
• Float to TELE, Telemetry 2EW, Med-Surg, Neurology-Medical as needed.
