About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides specialized care for patients with severe and potentially life-threatening conditions. This role requires critical thinking, acute assessment skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; travel experience preferred.
- Proficiency in EPIC charting system and BD Alaris IV Pumps.
- Strong skills in proning, chest tubes, and hypothermia protocols.
Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor specialized medical treatments such as medication titration and invasive line monitoring.
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergency situations.
- Collaborate with medical staff to plan and implement patient care.
- Participate in unit orientation and competency assessments.
