About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse working 12-hour day shifts in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. The role involves providing high-level critical care to patients with complex and life-threatening conditions. The RN will work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams to monitor patient conditions and deliver specialized nursing care in a fast-paced environment. The schedule typically includes working every other weekend or adjustments based on the needs of the unit and patient care requirements. The nurse will be responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive environment for critically ill patients while ensuring accurate monitoring and timely interventions. Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to respond quickly to changing patient conditions are essential for success in this ICU role.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license.
  • Current American Heart Association certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification prior to the start of the assignment.
  • A minimum of one year of ICU or critical care nursing experience.
  • Recent experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system within the past two years.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage complex patient conditions.
  • Effective communication with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Provide a complete work history with explanations for any employment gaps longer than 90 days.

Nice To Haves

  • CCRN certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
