About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – ICU Step-Down for an exciting Contract opportunity in Neptune, NJ. This role involves evaluating patients, assisting physicians with patient care, and developing and implementing individualized nursing care plans. The nurse will identify patient needs, perform therapeutic interventions, monitor patient responses, and manage assigned patients' care. Accurate and timely documentation, advocacy for evidence-based practices, and delivery of patient-centered care are essential. Collaboration with healthcare teams to optimize outcomes and potential floating to other units within competency are also part of the role. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Compact RN License required.
  • BLS (American Heart Association) Certification required.
  • ACLS (American Heart Association) Certification required.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification required.
  • Telemetry Certification required.
  • CEU Contact Stroke Certification (4 Hours) required.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit within a major acute care hospital required.
  • Strong Medical-Surgical and Telemetry background.
  • Neuro experience required.
  • Epic charting experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and document individualized nursing care plans.
  • Identify patient needs and establish care priorities through ongoing assessment and evaluation.
  • Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and monitor patient responses.
  • Manage and coordinate care for assigned patients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices and quality patient outcomes.
  • Deliver patient-centered care consistent with professional nursing practice standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Float to other units within competency level as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
