About The Position

Seeking an experienced RN for the ICU Step Down unit to provide specialized care for high-acuity patients transitioning from intensive care.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years ICU or Medical/Surgical Step Down experience required
• Minimum 2 years IV insertion and phlebotomy experience required
• Minimum 2 years conscious sedation experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Active New York RN license required
• NYSED Primary Source Verification required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong critical care and patient assessment skills
• Ability to work in high-acuity environments

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients requiring ventilators, tracheostomies, cardiac monitors, feeding tubes, and catheters
• Perform frequent patient assessments and escalate condition changes appropriately
• Respond to rapid response and cardiac arrest situations
• Provide specialized care for step-down level patients
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Maintain accurate patient documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Ensure patient safety and quality care standards
