About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the ICU Float Pool at Saint Thomas Midtown and West in Nashville, TN. The position is full-time, working nights. The nurse will implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate care among disciplines, carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess and coordinate patient care needs with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.
