About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our ICU Float Pool. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients within the nursing unit. The RN is responsible for ensuring continuity of care between shifts by providing direct care and supervising nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff. This position also includes patient and family teaching and acting as a patient advocate in alignment with the organization's mission.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) or more years of previous nursing experience.
- Previous Intensive Care Unit experience.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit.
- Ensures continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care.
- Supervises the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs and supportive staff members.
- Participates in patient and family teaching.
- Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization’s mission.
