About The Position

Saint Luke's East Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the dynamic Cardiovascular Recovery Unit. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing complex cardiovascular and interventional procedures, as well as managing acute and critical diagnoses. The RN functions with a high degree of clinical judgement, accountability, and critical thinking while collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The RN will care for patients with, but not limited to: Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), Pacemaker placement, Peripheral vascular procedures, Interventional radiology (IR) procedures, Respiratory failure, DKA/insulin drips, Post–STEMI recovery, and other acute and complex cardiac and critical care diagnoses. Functions independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Coordinates the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team. Delegates tasks appropriately. Identifies hospital resources. Serves as a clinical resource for new employees. Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department.

Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of applicable experience
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree
