This full-time Registered Nurse I SE position is within the Cardiovascular Interventional Recovery: Nursing Department at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The role involves utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, while engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, and collaborating with the care team to influence care outcomes. The nurse is expected to uphold and promote a culture of safety, continuously evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, and may administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to clinical protocols. Effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution are essential for fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation. The position requires continuous professional development, completion of required education, and maintenance of certifications, while adhering to the ANA Code of Ethics and practicing ethical decision-making. Accurate and timely EHR documentation is also a requirement. The nurse may be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs and must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
