About The Position

The Registered Nurse I assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies/procedures for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating patient functional status. This role involves utilizing the nursing process to care for patients, assessing, organizing, and completing patient care with consideration for patient age, cultural and psychosocial factors. It also includes documenting steps of the nursing process, utilizing proper medical terminology, addressing problems and progress toward goals, and facilitating patient discharge through timely, appropriate referrals and utilization of patient education resources. The nurse will collaborate with other disciplines and support unit/hospital goals through PI and educational activities.

Requirements

• Has completed the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing, and holds or is entitled to hold a diploma or degree therefrom.
• Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License.
• 0 - 6 months related experience.
• Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways.
• Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner.
• Ability to be detail oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data.
• 1-year bedside RN experience, required.
