This PRN role involves providing home visits to patients in the South Region (within a 30-mile radius around IUH Bloomington). IU Health provides patients with comprehensive care delivered by a highly trained interdisciplinary team. Hospital at Home nurses will experience a team approach to serving patients, along with the flexibility and autonomy to perform their jobs and provide individualized patient care. The role includes one-on-one patient-centered care and education, as well as critical thinking and clinical skills such as infusions, line care, catheter care, wound care, VAC management, and chronic disease process management and education. Requirements

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
