About The Position

This role assumes responsibility for case management, prioritizing schedules to accommodate patient needs, and evaluating/revising the plan of care. The nurse will demonstrate knowledge of pharmacology, safe medication management, and end-of-life symptom management, routinely reconciling medications and maintaining current medication orders. Evidence of interdisciplinary communication is expected, and participation in PI meetings and activities/committees is required. The position also assists with growing agency business, provides orientation to new employees, and accepts other assignments as requested. Cross-training to learn new skills and a willingness to teach others are also key aspects of the role. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date.
  • 1+ year of experience in Hospice Nursing
  • CHPN certification
