About The Position

Hospice Home Care is seeking a passionate, dedicated RN to join our team in Bryant, AR. As a On-Call RN, you will collaborate with the Remote Triage On Call Team to deliver hands-on care to hospice patients and offer supportive services to their families during after-hours, on an on-call basis. You will assess and manage urgent symptoms quickly and compassionately, administer medication or adjust care based on hospice protocols or provider orders, and communicate with the physician regarding changes in condition and obtain orders as necessary. You will also offer guidance and support to the patient and family in understanding the current condition and anticipating the next steps. If a death occurs during on-call hours, the RN will go to the home or facility to pronounce death, provide support to the family, contact the funeral home, and notify the hospice team. You will also complete timely documentation and communication.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in state of operation
• One year nursing experience
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years preferred nursing experience
• Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred
• Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence
