About The Position

Works under the supervision of the hospice and/or palliative care at home manager. Provides nursing care to hospice and/or palliative care at home patients in accordance with the hospice and palliative care at home concept of care. Assumes managerial responsibilities in the absence of the hospice and/or palliative care at home manager.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• A valid driver's license.
• An acceptable driving record.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Hospice and/or palliative care at home certification.
• Working knowledge of current pain and symptom management.
• Experience appropriate to the needs of hospice and palliative care at home patients and their families.
• Interpersonal skills to present a positive image of hospice and palliative care at home to those who are referred to the program.
• Ability to be flexible in adapting policies and procedures to meet the needs presented by hospice and palliative care at home patients and families.
