About The Position

This full-time Registered Nurse position is responsible for developing and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with patients throughout the healthcare continuum. The role involves providing individualized care to promote physical and psychosocial comfort, assessing patient and family readiness, and involving them in care planning and implementation. The nurse will also mobilize appropriate resources, adapt practice to evidence-based literature, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, the position focuses on patient and staff education, demonstrating the nursing process as a problem-solving model, making sound clinical decisions, and coordinating discharge planning. Leadership, collaboration, and professional development are key aspects, including respecting peers, participating in team efforts, and maintaining current knowledge. The role requires a valid RN license, a driver's license, and a minimum of one year of medical-surgical experience. The position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for eligible candidates.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Earn 10 continuing education credits annually
  • One year of medical surgical experience
  • Has as demonstrated proficiency for the requirements for RN role
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Computer skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with patient care equipment
  • Current Illinois RN license
  • Current CPR
  • A valid driver’s license issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles.
