Registered Nurse - Home Health Assessments
About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) to perform in-home health assessments in St. Louis on a per diem basis, offering a flexible schedule. It is designed for RNs seeking an alternative to traditional hospital bedside care, focusing on clinical judgment, patient interaction, and identifying health risks and gaps in care. The role explicitly excludes hands-on care, medication administration, and ongoing case management. It provides independence, opportunities for supplemental income or a slower pace, and includes mileage reimbursement, paid remote training, and provided equipment. The role is offered as 12-week contracts with options for extension.
Requirements
- Active RN license (MO or compact)
- 1+ year home health clinical experience
- Reliable transportation & Valid Drivers License (A MUST)
Responsibilities
- Perform in-home health assessments (history, meds, assess patients for in home support needed)
- Document findings using provided equipment
- Identify health risks and gaps in care
- Build quick rapport with patients
