About The Position
We are seeking a talented and compassionate Registered Nurse for a Home Care position in Huntsville and surrounding areas. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to make a significant difference in patients' lives. As an RN Home Care Nurse, you will collaborate with medical providers and care teams to deliver personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care. Requirements
- Current unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license, required
- Current CPR/BLS Certification (in-person only), required
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray within past year, required
- Minimum one (1) year of documented experience in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility, required
- Current and valid Texas Driver's License, required
- Current and valid automobile insurance, required
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Strong IV skills
- Experience with wound care preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care including, but not limited to: wound, skin, and ostomy care; admission assessments and evaluations; IV infusions along with care and maintenance of peripheral IVs, PICC lines, CL, ML, and port-a-caths; other skilled nursing care as defined in the plan of care.
- Assess the patient's clinical needs upon admission and weekly; set goals; recommend appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals.
- Keep other licensed clinical professionals informed on items related to the patient's care.
- Monitor and track changes in the client/patient's condition and needs, and keeps the Director of Nursing and any other appropriate personnel informed.
