Registered Nurse - Home Care and Hospice
About The Position
Saint Luke's Home Care and Hospice is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join their team. This role involves taking overnight and weekend call and making hospice and home care visits in the Kansas City metropolitan area. The position is part of a Seven-On/Seven-Off alternative staffing plan, offering work-life balance and flexibility. The employee will be scheduled for seven consecutive days, on-call from 5:00 pm through 8:00 am Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. Responsibilities include making hospice visits while on call during the week and home care and hospice visits on weekends. The role also involves performing start of care and routine home care visits on weekends, as well as appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures including wound and ostomy care. Educating patients and family members on care plans and medication administration is also a key part of the role. Requirements
- Active Missouri and Kansas RN License.
- Valid driver's license.
- Family Care Safety Registry.
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Registered Nurse - Various.
- Associate Degree.
Nice To Haves
- Prior hospice experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Taking home care and hospice call during night hours and weekends.
