About The Position

Backus Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse - Graduate Nurse for the E4 Cardiology Telemetry unit. This 28-bed unit serves as the central cardiac monitoring site for inpatient floors. Requirements

Graduate of a school of Nursing.
One (1) year RN experience and/or successful completion of the Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program.
Current unrestricted license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
Ability to obtain and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within 90 days of hire.
Must be able to pass the dysrhythmia test within 3 months of hire.
Must be able to pass the BKAT with a score of 80% or complete a critical care course within one (1) year of hire.
Ability to obtain and maintain department specific certifications.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
Two (2) or more years of experience in this clinical area preferred.
