About The Position
The GI Department provides comprehensive support for GI and pulmonary procedures across 7 procedural rooms and 24 patient holding rooms. Our collaborative team is supported by dedicated RNs and GI Technicians, working together to deliver high-quality patient care throughout the procedural experience. This position is for a Clinical Nurse II in GI Services at Waukesha Memorial Hospital (WMH) with a 0.9 FTE (Full-Time Equivalent).
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
- Wisconsin Registered Nurse License
- Valid American Heart (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Integrates theoretical knowledge with clinical experience in the care of patients and families.
- Delivers care using a deliberate, systematic approach.
- Practices guided by increasing awareness of patterns of patient responses in recurrent situations.
- Demonstrates a mastery of most technical skills and begins to view clinical situations from a patient and family focus.
- Provides professional nursing care within clinical areas/campuses as required by staffing matrices.
- Supervises and directs delegated nursing acts commensurate with educational preparation and demonstrated abilities of the person supervised.
