About The Position
Provides direct client care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Field Nurse is responsible and accountable for the provision of safe client care services and programs. Job description is available upon request.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Problem solving skills
- Proficient in referrals, assessment, counseling, and care planning
- Ability to implement, utilize & evaluate best practice models of client care
- Cognizant of patient safety in dev. of clinical documentation/implementation
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Standards and application of such
- Adhering to professional code of ethics, practice standards.
- Ability to maintain client/patient/resident confidentiality
- Awareness of the capabilities of nursing services in the home care setting
- Knowledge in health care supplies and equipment
- Knowledge in evidence based research
- Ability to create a risk management plan with other health care providers
- Possess effective communication skills with the ability to relate to individuals
- Demonstrates self-direction, decision making & attention to detail
- Makes judgements on the basis of critical thinking and problem solving criteria
- Knowledge in policy and procedure development and quality assurance initiatives
- Knowledge in philosophy and principles of holistic health care
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Must upload all relevant documents (ex: certificates, diplomas, proof of enrollment, licenses and/or memberships) relating to the qualifications of the position.
- Must bring a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) to the interview; it must be dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search.
