About The Position
Nashville General Hospital is hiring for a Full Time Forensic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Med/Surg in Nashville, Tennessee. This is an 18-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited associate degree, Diploma, or Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing Preferred.
- Current Licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state.
- Employee must have valid BLS upon hire. ACLS and CPI are required within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Admitting and assessing patients
- Administering medication and treatments
- Monitoring vital signs and symptoms
- Running and ordering tests
- Coordinating care with Physicians and Specialists as well as educational programs as needed
- Charting patient progress and anything necessary regarding patient care
- Providing education to patients and family members related to health prevention, maintenance and restoration
