About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse Float at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, FL. The position is for the Float Staffing department and operates on a PRN schedule with day shifts. The nurse will be responsible for implementing and monitoring patient care plans, recording and communicating patient conditions, serving as a coordinator for interdisciplinary patient care, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and assessing and coordinating patient care needs with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
• 2+ years acute care experience

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.
